The final conference of the LUCIDE project (Languages in Urban Communities. Integration and diversity in Europe) will be hosted by the Language Centre at the London School of Economics on 10-11 September 2014. For two and a half years, the LUCIDE network has been investigating 16 cities in the European Union, Canada and Australia and their likely future development, with a focus on multilingualism. The conference will share the outcomes of the project and look at the future of multilingualism in the spheres of education, the economy, civil society and urban planning. More information here.
